International traveling exhibition of childrens drawings „I Love My Country“
The exhibition consists of 50 drawings, drawn by the young artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Ukraine. Four Baltic countries which celebrates their centenary and Ukraine where the situation in the country is not stable shows the view of the young generation to the national identity and ideals. The selection, design and installation of the exhibition was performed by the artist Vilnis Heinrihsons.
The drawings depict the associations with the words „I Love My Country“. For instance – nature and people, home and family. Colors and techniques which the children used in their drawings represent their view on the world.
Each drawing is fixed on a separate panel – the smallest panel size 60x42cm, the largest panel size 60x83cm,
The exhibition is to be exhibited at the Pärnu Central Library (Estonia), the Vilnius Central Library (Lithuania) and the Universal Scientific Library of the Kirovograd region (Ukraine).
The exhibition is supported by – Riga City Council; Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Council.
The exhibition at Central Library of Vilnius City Municipality (Žirmūnų st. 6) will be on until 29th of March.
